Alex and Britt

britt + alex

Britt and Alex were married at the Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver, British Columbia which is a contemporary art gallery perched on the city’s harbourfront, where the mountains meet the sea. The venue’s modern architecture is all about mixing glass and angular lines with the expansive light streaming in over the water.

With this suite, we wanted to extend the modernity and minimalism of the gallery into the stationery. An abstract painting marks the base of the invitation card which is overlaid with a frosted vellum panel printed in subtle white ink. A thick custom-cut envelope in the perfect shade of sage added warmth and colour.

The reception space was designed with simple, rich greenery and clear acrylic furniture. Vellum menus, clasped with each guest’s namecard, were placed on black stoneware plates, and the abstract painting makes another appearance on the plexiglass table numbers. The bright, minimal, art-inspired aesthetic is rounded off with a frosted plexiglass seating chart and signage engraved in white. The day was fresh, bright, modern …perfect for this stylish couple!
