Wow, what an incredible party this wedding was! Full of brilliant florals, a jaw-dropping ceiling installation by Celsia Floral, and an amazing collection of interior decor, the hall of The Permanent was transformed from a vintage heritage space into a blooming garden bursting with rich colour!
Louisa and her mom, Judith, approached me to discuss creating a unique stationery set that showcased the beauty of the spring season and incorporated a touch of elegance from the historic venue. Working with our illustrator Veronika, we created a traditional suite with budding peony blooms and worked in some of the intricate shapes of the building’s stonework into the crest. We also had to make sure Marshall, Louisa’s pup who wouldn’t be present, was woven into the stationery throughout the day. He makes a special appearance on the postage stamps, complete with a celebratory polkadot bow-tie!
It was clear this wedding was the melding of so many people into one, big, vibrant, jovial family, here to enjoy the bounty of spring and to celebrate the start of Louisa and Blair’s union. We had so much fun being a part of that celebration.
